With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties (UCPLA) is the largest nonprofit provider of direct care services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Southern California.


Directly responsible to the Administrator or in the Administrators absence to the Director of Client Services for the overall management and administration of the facility based on the policies and procedures established and the program plan approved by the Department of Developmental Services. 



  • Assists the Administrator in overall management and administration of the facility based on established policies and procedures and the DDS-approved program plan
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, including Title 22, and ICF/MR Federal regulations
  • Helps coordinate the functions of each department within the facility
  • Assists in the screening of clients for admission
  • Assures clients’ rights are understood by all staff, and investigate and consult with residents, parents and other concerned parties when a clients' welfare is threatened or there is suspected infringement of thee rights
  • Assists with hiring, orientation, supervision of Direct Support Professional, as well as training in proper use and maintenance of all equipment
  • Supervises the ordering, storage and preparation of food and maintain house and grounds in good repair
  • When necessary, drives company van in support of client programming, and perform client personal care as needed


  • Two years’ experience working with persons who have developmental disabilities and/or experience in a related field
  • One year of supervisory experience managing employees
  • Able to pass drug, physical, and criminal background check
  • Some management experience in the field of human services or business
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
