    United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties (UCPLA), dedicated to advancing the independence, productivity and full citizenship of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, is currently looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys making a difference. You will be supporting the operational divisions of Residential and Adult Day Programming for persons with developmental disabilities, and operational activities across 17 locations throughout the Los Angeles area.

    • Provides administrative support to assigned Directors by preparing and editing communications, coordinating meetings, and disseminating information to staff
    • Provides general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying
    • Supports general hiring and on-boarding processes, such as editing job posting ads, scheduling interviews, preparing and assisting with employee orientation materials
    • Organizes group meetings, prioritizes and categorizes documents, and maintains confidential files for document retrieval
    • Creates sophisticated forms using MS Word
    • Creates contract templates
    • Reads, analyzes and updates program manuals with revisions for continuity and consistency
    • Completes program license renewal forms
    • Creates program binders for training purposes
    • Stores client program information per HIPAA guidelines
    • Updates general information lists
    • First point of contact for outside vendors, contractors and consultants
    • Researches and builds relationships with new vendors
    • Maintains vital data sheets, i.e. HR policies, Workers' Comp policies, vendor numbers, etc.
    • Periodically reviews of State regulatory websites in order to secure updating bulletins and other information
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs



    • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
    • Minimum of two years' administrative support experience
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Typing skills at least 45-50 wpm
    • Excellent MS Office software skills to include Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Advanced MS Word knowledge
    • Must be a team player, flexible, personable, self-starter with the ability to interface with adults with developmental disabilities as well as all levels of UCPLA staff
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Strong professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Desire and commitment to accept increasingly greater challenges and responsibilities
    • Must have reliable transportation, be comfortable driving to multiple locations during 20% of scheduled time, provide proof of legal right to drive in California, and provide proof of insurance
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
