    Rate of Pay: $15.00 per hour

    Schedule Available: Monday through Friday,  8:30 AM - 3:30 PM                              

     

    With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles, Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties (UCPLA) is the largest nonprofit provider of direct care services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Southern California.

     

    UCPLA is currently hiring Direct Support Professional IIs (DSP IIs) with a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, to assist developmentally disabled individuals in an Adult Day Program setting. Under direct supervision of highly qualified professionals, DSP IIs support our clients in classroom-like settings. Our Adult Day Programs are designed to meet the intellectual, social, and physical needs of our clients. With activities ranging from Computer Class, Art Class, Sensory Room, and Gardening, we are sure you will find something that hones your talents as you help our clients enhance their lives.

    Responsibilities

    • Directly supervises clients and program activities
    • Secures a safe and clean environment
    • Assists clients with activities of daily living (such as toileting, hygiene, eating, and mobility)
    • Implements functional living skills consistent with ISP (Individual Service Plan) objectives as scheduled
    • Assists clients with community-based activities
    • Passes medication to clients, as assigned, per RN medication administration training
    • Documents clients' behavioral and daily living skills data of people served accurately and in a timely manner
    • Documents clients’ activity participation and critical issues in a timely manner
    • Follows company policies at all times regarding the safe and proper lift and transfer of individuals
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Current accreditation as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Ability to communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
    • Ability to successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including physical exam, drug screening, criminal background check, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
    • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds

    Rate of Pay: $15.00 per hour

    Schedule Available: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
